Commissioned by Mattel, Plunge created a five-foot-tall, giant chocolate sculpture of Thomas the Tank Engine.  On display at King’s Cross station over the Easter weekend, this tasty bit of food art caused quite a stir.  Getting lots of media coverage in  BBC Newsround, ITN, The Sun, Telegraph, Evening Standard, The Argus, to name but a few.

The giant chocolate sculpture of Thomas The Tank Engine took 3 people 250 hours to create.  It was first sculpted out of polystyrene.  Then thickly coated in approximately 100kg of delicious Belgian chocolate.

Using a mixture of white, milk and dark chocolate create the detail in the sculpture, it was Thomas’ face which took the most time to get right.  Mainly, due to how recognisable it is.
