We were commissioned by Waldo Works to create two turquoise blue full sized palm trees to install at Selfridges as part of their Architectural restoration and Interior restyle of Selfridges International Services Department. The colourful palm trees theme was influenced by the fashionable Palm Court restaurant that used to exist on the site.
The trees were plastic moulded before being hand sprayed a lovely tropical blue. The bespoke foliage was then hand finished and styled to try to recreate the natural shape of a palm tree. The trees were mounted in custom made fibreglass planters with lids which were then painted to match the rest of the prop.
