- Proven experience in resource or production coordination, ideally in a fabrication, creative production, or workshop environment.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills with an eye for detail.
- Experience using scheduling and project management software tools
- Confident communicator able to manage stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Strong supplier and budget management experience.
- A practical understanding of fabrication workflows, materials, and workshop operations.

Role Overview
The Resource Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, scheduling, and optimisation of resources across all fabrication projects at Plunge Creations. This role ensures that materials, space, crew, and logistics are aligned with the delivery needs of the company’s creative and production teams. Working closely with Project Managers, Senior Makers, and Directors, the Resource Manager is a key part of maintaining operational efficiency, budget adherence, and timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities - Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain a live capacity planning system to align project demand with available resources (space, materials, labour).
- Contribute to the strategic development of resource allocation policies and planning frameworks.
- Develop and maintain a live tracking and control system for stock workshop materials. Work with the Directors to develop a system for recharging and accounting for the use of stock materials.
- Implementation of improved processes and production tracking systems.
- Lead scheduling meetings to allocate workshop space and crew effectively.
- Forecast short-term and long-term resource requirements. Coordinating with Project Managers and Senior Makers to collate and track project requirements.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers for stock workshop materials, negotiating preferred rates and service agreements.
- Working with Project Managers and Project Co-ordinators, coordinate procurement activities and deliveries.
- Track the deliveries of materials and services, and help project managers ensure timely delivery aligned with the project schedule.
- Manage the scheduling of freelance and permanent workshop crew.
- Use the freelance and permanent crew schedules to process and approve timesheets for both permanent and freelance team members.
- Assist the Project Managers and Project Co-ordinators with sourcing and booking freelance crew.
- Facilitate regular cross-team communication and proactively flag potential delays or resource constraints.
- Assist in the creation of production schedules in collaboration with the project management and workshop team once fabrication route is decided.
- Design and implement logistics protocols for efficient packaging, transport, and delivery of projects.
- Support Project Managers with the dispatch of completed items, including scheduling courier or vehicle logistics.
- Monitor material usage and labour allocation to identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
- Provide input into project budgeting and cost estimations, focusing on logistics and material requirements.
- Lead process improvement initiatives across scheduling, procurement, and resource allocation tools. Maintain accurate project-level resource data to support reporting and analysis.
- Evaluate both workshop and office processes for operational bottlenecks. Suggest improvements and help implement changes..
- Supporting safe and secure dispatch of completed items, including scheduling courier or vehicle logistics.
- Assist Project Managers in maintaining accurate documentation, including COSHH sheets, delivery notes, and supplier certifications for projects.
Attend production meetings and provide support to Project Managers as needed.
