Itch Limited recently commissioned us to build a 6ft giant bass drum filled with 500 numbered balls for their client, Relentless.

The idea behind the giant prop was that it would be used on stage at Relentless promotional events for prize winning lucky draws.

Our prop makers built the bass drum out of bendy plywood and mdf and it was sealed off with acrylic sheet, front and back.  Fans were secured inside it to blow the balls around, thus creating the tombola effect.

Finally in order to enable one numbered ball, at a time, to be caught and removed from the drum, a small trap door mechanism was designed and fitted to it.

All in all, a pretty fun and striking promotional prop and a great way of running a lottery selection for a prize winning tombola ball.
