Over the last few years, Plunge has fabricated and installed a number of the St Pancras International Christmas trees. Firstly, the Disney Christmas tree (LINK), which as a 14 metre high pile of toys, was almost every child’s dream come true. The following year, St Pancras partnered with Cirque du Soleil (LINK). The tree was underwater themed around Cirque du Soleil’s Amaluna show. It included underwater projections and “tap to donate” optic displays which lit up with every donation to Oxfam.
This year, commissioned by MKTG and designed by Tiffany & Co. & Coty, the Christmas tree is as spectacular as ever. It’s a 13 metre white and Tiffany blue tree decorated with hundreds of replica bottles of the jewellery houses’ signature fragrance, hand crafted Iris flowers and blue and white baubles. The centre piece of the tree is a 5 metre toy robot with a swivelling head, that stands atop a neon orange ladder. The toy robot is supporting a chromed mannequin as it reaches up to the giant bottle of Tiffany & Co. Eau de Parfum which tops the giant Christmas tree.
Not only is the tree visually arresting but lovers of the Tiffany & Co. fragrance can also enjoy the scent of it as they wander along the St Pancras International concourse. The Christmas tree is rigged with scent machines that will dispense the Tiffany & Co. parfum throughout the day.
Directly in front of the giant Christmas tree, Tiffany & Co. have erected a pop up retail shop. This will offer shoppers everything from their signature Tiffany Eau de Parfum to gift wrapping services and complimentary bottle engravings.
The Tiffany & Co. Christmas tree will be on display from 12 November 2018 to 4 January 2019.
