Wholehearted Limited came to us with a problem. How to create a striking looking wishing tree sculpture for their client Blue Moon , which also included a cosy seating area and was easy to transport. After a bit of brain storming, the design team came up with this striking looking tree house space. Using cnc cut plywood to create branches which a slot together, the trunk of the tree (including the cosy snug) came apart into segments. Our rigging company, Bing Inventive, then met Wholehearted’s team on a UK wide tour which took in Spitalfields, Blue Dot Festival and the Edinburgh Festival.
Wholehearted’s concept behind the tree was to create a free interactive art installation promoting Blue Moon Beer. The wishing tree had small holes in each of it’s branches which people used to add their dreams and wishes to the pop up installation. As part of the promotion, the first 100 people to add their wises at each of the events received a free 1/2 pint of Blue Moon Beer. For some that was their wish already coming true.
