Brighton Pride, with all its props and costumes, is widely established as the UK’s most popular Pride event.

It’s a celebration of people coming together in love and friendship. It’s all about being proud of who you are and recognising the unique diversity of our city. And as the years go by the celebrations have grown bigger, bolder and well… more proud!

With less than 11 weeks until the festivities start, we’re reminiscing over some of our more colourful and flamboyant projects. From costumes to props, and decorative floats, our team have created a multitude of Pride and Pride influenced projects.

Rainbows and Feathers

Some of the costumes we have created showed a definite Pride theme – such as the unicorn with the rainbow mane and tail. Whilst others simply took on the rainbow colours unknowingly – such as the themed character costumes for the Cartoon Network and the Masked Singer’s Dragon. These projects were complete costume designs and makes, allowing our team to use the full range of their making skills.

Unicorns and Queens

Whilst for the projects below, there is no denying the Pride element. From the rainbow flocked horse, to the voluptuous blue gown for the vivacious Copper Top Queen.

Gigantic Glitter

Whereas these giant props, or decorative scenic floats below show the scale to which our team can create. Our designers, working with the team of prop makers, can produce anything at any size – including a giant dragon, giant silver glitter heels, or a flaming martini glass! Even a giant car size hamster or dog!

Our team of makers also have vast experience in rigging and installations, so no matter the size or scope of your project we’ve got the skills to make it happen.

So whether you’re thinking about what to wear, or what type of props to use on your float or event. We hope these projects have been a beneficial source of inspiration.
