Natural History Museum- Space: Could Life Exist Beyond Earth?

An Exhibition Out Of This World!
We were over the moon (and several planets beyond) to collaborate with the iconic Natural History Museum on their latest exhibition: Space: Could Life Exist Beyond Earth?
Our job? To bring science fiction-level ideas into tactile, tangible, totally thrilling reality. The brief called for brains, boldness and a bucketload of creativity- so we strapped in and got building.
Here’s what we launched:
🦠 Gunflintia Microbe Model- A detailed sculpture of an extinct microbe, scaled up a casual 10,000 times so you can see the thing.
🛰️ Mars Rover Sample Tube Replica- Built to exacting spec and ready for its close-up- all the drama of a Martian mission without leaving Earth.
🧊 Europa’s Icy Layers Moving Model- A mechanical build that peels back the layers of Jupiter’s icy moon, revealing what lies beneath.
🪐 The Trappist Table- A rotating centrepiece with 8 glowing exoplanets that light up as the table turns- one of the absolute highlights of the exhibition (even if we say so ourselves).
The result? A set of playful, interactive and scientifically accurate props that make deep space feel deliciously close-up.
The exhibition is packed with real-life space artefacts too- including a meteorite older than Earth and an actual Mars Rover! Pretty cool huh?!
