Bringing Toothless to Life at Bord Bia Bloom

For Ireland’s largest gardening showcase, Bord Bia Bloom, we had the incredible opportunity to bring a fan-favourite character to life - Toothless the Dragon from How to Train Your Dragon.

Created for our friends at NBCUniversal ahead of the film’s 2025 release, Toothless made a surprise appearance nestled among the lush foliage of the award-winning garden.

Working from a detailed 3D model provided by the client, our team set to work: CNC-carving High Density Polyurethane board, meticulously hand-crafting and layering thousands of scales, applying a styro-coat finish, and bringing the character to life with expert painting and detailing. The result? A snarly, scene-stealing dragon that captivated audiences of all ages.
